Introduction: The loss of an eye due to trauma is very common event. The psychological trauma of losing an eye is very difficult to manage. Even if we can manage esthetic loss by giving artificial prosthesis but functional loss (eyesight) cannot be managed. This situation is even more difficult to manage when patient is child.
Summary: This article describes the management of a child patient with anopthalmic socket, by an innovative technique of customizing the stock acrylic resin ocular prosthesis to get improved esthetics, accurate location of iris–pupil complex and exact fit in the defect. Ocular stock shell is relined to get a prosthesis which is more accurately adapting to socket.
Conclusion: Ocular prosthesis made by this method provides better esthetics and function.
