Introduction: Determination of lost vertical dimension in completely edentulous case is a daunting task. There is no reliable method to establish the same till date. The aim of this study was to evaluate and correlate the inter-relationship of ramus height and dental height in dentulous persons.

Methodology: 20 to 40 years old dentulous cases of 50 person with fully erupted dentition, without any structural and developmental deformity in equal proportion of male and females ratio were considered for this research and the subjects with TMJ disorders and neuromuscular disorders exempted from the research. Ramus and dental heights of the dentulous subjects from the lateral cephalogram were measured pre-clinically.

Result: The calculated values were statistically analyzed using one way ANOVA and regression correlation test.

Conclusion: Ramus height can be taken as a guide to reestablish the lost vertical dimension of edentulous cases.
